Man with a Van in Highett, VIC

Most Highett jobs never needed a full truck

One wardrobe, a fridge going into a rental, a marketplace pickup out of Hampton East — none of that warrants a four-person crew and a pantech. Working as a Man with a Van in Highett, VIC, we match the vehicle to the load, which keeps the price honest and usually means a slot inside the week.

Planning your van run around Highett Road

A lot of the original blocks now hold three townhouses sharing one strip of concrete — and then there is the timing around Highett station between the shops and the industrial pocket on top of it, which is why the driver is briefed on both. A van run in Highett works best when nobody is learning the street on arrival, and that is what the pre-move call is for.

What a Highett job usually covers

• Single items — beds, fridges, washing machines and lounge suites
• Secondhand and marketplace pickups from Hampton East, Cheltenham and Moorabbin
• Part-loads for downsizers shifting a room rather than a whole house
• Awkward single pieces worked through Highett doorways, stairs and hallways

A written Highett figure, not a range

We would rather spend longer on the Highett van run quote than argue about the invoice afterwards. Once we know what a small load amounts to and how the driver will reach it along Highett Road, the number goes in writing and stays there.
