Man with a Van in Northcote, VIC

When a van beats a truck in Northcote

Single-fronted cottages make hallway width the deciding factor, and a smaller vehicle simply gets closer to the door. As a Man with a Van in Northcote, VIC, we use that to your advantage: less carrying, less time on the clock, and a price that reflects the job you actually have.

In Northcote the streets set the timing

Around High Street you are dealing with Victorian cottages, weatherboards and newer townhouses. Narrow streets, permit zones and the ruckers hill climb. Single-fronted cottages make hallway width the deciding factor, so we build the arrival window for your van run around that rather than hoping for a clear kerb.

What we take care of around High Street

• Single items — beds, fridges, washing machines and lounge suites
• Secondhand and marketplace pickups from Thornbury, Fitzroy North and Preston
• Part-loads for downsizers moving a room rather than a whole house
• Awkward single pieces handled through Northcote doorways, stairs and hallways

What moves the price on a Northcote van run

Three things, mostly: how much there is, how far the van and driver has to carry it, and the distance travelled. Narrow streets, permit zones and the ruckers hill climb, so we confirm that first and quote a small load accordingly.
